Jill supports clients through a creative blend of practical skills-focused approaches to stabilize challenging situations, as well opening space for deeper exploration of the ‘why’ behind our behaviours.

Ms. Brook Lekopoy

B.Sc.

Brook has a bachelors of science in Psychology: Brain and Cognition from the University of Guelph. She has been an integral part of our assessment team at Summit for 1 year. She has been providing excellent quality standardized testing and informed consent services for Summit while simultaneously completing her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Our clients appreciate her warm welcome and her skilled and kind approach.

We are delighted to have her now join our clinical team as an intern. She will be providing low fee counselling services under the direct supervision of Robin Swift (Registered Psychologist). Brook applies her considerable skills with diligence and compassion to everything she does. Ms. Heather Ferguson

Heather brings compassion, academic excellence, and authenticity to her role as an intern counsellor. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria and currently completing her Master of Counselling at City University, Seattle, Heather combines knowledge with a genuine passion for helping others. Central to Heather’s practice is the belief that people are not defined by their problems. She helps clients view challenges from new perspectives, uncovering the stories that shape their identity, and exploring the core of what truly matters to them. Heather creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore thoughts and emotions at their own pace. 

Under the supervision of Dr. Helen Peel (Registered Psychologist) and Julia Gerlitz (Registered Clinical Counsellor), Heather offers low-fee counselling services. Her empathetic approach supports clients with: Depression and anxiety ; Phobias and grief  ; Emotion management ; Social skill improvement ; Goal achievement ; Building resilience ; Managing unhelpful thoughts.          

Ms. Jaylene Yablonski

M.Ed., R. Psych.

Ms. Jaylene Bettcher is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists in the province of Alberta and with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. She is also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association. With dual registration, she can provide psychological services (in-person and online) to both residents of British Columbia and Alberta.

Dr. Jeff Martzke

Ph.D., R.Psych.

Dr. Martzke has been a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia since 1989. He provided neuropsychological services for 15 years at University Hospital in London and Vancouver General Hospital before joining Summit Psychology Group. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Martzke provides neuropsychological assessment services for the Interior Health Authority and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC.

Ms. Robin Swift, M.Ed. is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologist of British Columbia, a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologist in the province of Alberta and a registered member of the Canadian Psychological Association.

Dr. Helen Peel

Clin. Psy.D., R. Psych.

Dr. Peel completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The University of East London, United Kingdom. During her training rotations she helped adults to overcome a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder. She then specialized in family therapy and child psychology, assisting children and their families to cope with issues such as sexual and physical abuse, marital conflict, physical illness, and behavioural problems. She also developed expertise in psycho-educational assessment.

Ms. Jen Worman

M.Ed., R.C.C

Jen completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of Calgary. She completed her Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary where she specialized in child and youth assessment and counselling. Jen is a registered clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Ms. Julia Gerlitz

Registered Clinical Counsellor M.A., R.C.C

Julia Gerlitz is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who has assisted individuals, youth, couples, and families overcome challenges in their lives since 2011. Julia holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia, and is a faculty member with the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy. A special interest for Julia is providing relationship therapy for couples. She is passionate about helping clients share untold narratives of strength and resilience, in order to create opportunities for change in their actions, perspectives, and identities. Julia is also a registered member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Meet Thomas, our testing technician. Thomas is a highly valued member of our Summit assessment team. He is a very skilled test administrator and has a particular talent for putting children and adults at ease with his genuinely sunny and kind disposition. He enables clients to put their best foot forward, allowing our clinicians to provide an accurate portrayal of clients’ strengths and needs.

Meet Nic, our testing technician. Nic is currently finishing his undergraduate degree in psychology, after which he plans on pursuing a master’s in counselling psychology. Nic has a particular interest in sports and performance psychology. This, combined with his many years of experience working with and managing people of all ages, ensures Nic brings a calm and relaxing attitude and demeanor to the Summit team.
