Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy

Our Registered Psychologists and Registered Clinical Counsellors offer a variety of services to suit the needs of your children and family. We advocate for fun in therapy with the goal of supporting children and teens to access their resilience and work towards becoming happier, healthier and more confident.

What kinds of issues do we work with?
  • Parenting skills
  • Divorce or separation
  • Improving family dynamics (siblings, blended families etc.)
  • Trauma/ PTSD, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, compulsive behaviour.
  • Challenges with younger children (tantrums, struggles with sleep, toileting difficulties, eating problems etc.)
  • Guidance and coaching for neurodiverse young people (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD)
  • School-based challenges (e.g. bullying, school avoidance/ refusal, problems with friends or learning difficulties).
What types of therapy do we use?

We only use scientifically validated therapies including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (trauma informed)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy
  • EMDR
  • Emotion-Focused Family Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • Circle of Security
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy
How do we get started?
  • Book an initial assessment meeting, this will take between 1 and 2 hours

During this meeting we will get to know you and your child/ teenager better and will make recommendations for a treatment plan including number of sessions and who should attend.
